To analyze the largely unstudied M.R. Harrington collection of Caddoan materials from Arkansas now in the Museum of the American Indian, Heye Foundation in New York City for cultural-historical purposes and to recognize the social-political-religious factors the structured the placement or occurrence of artifacts in the sites excavated.
