To continue excavation of the classical town of Halieis, near Porto Cheli, in Southern Greece. This is a joint undertaking of the Program in Classical Archeology and the University of Pennsylvania, under the auspices of the American School of Classical Studies in Athens. The program for 73 and 74 includes the final excavation of the sanctuary of Apollo and the excavation of three areas inside and outside of the city wall. A major objective is the excavation of the sanctuary of Demeter.
