To undertake a systematic calendar of two series of documents in the archives of the Propaganda Fide, Rome. The Sacred Congregation "de Propaganda Fide" was established by Pope Gregory XV on January 6, 1622--to direct and correlate the mission work of the whole Catholic Church. Its archives are the richest Roman source for the history of the Catholic Church in the U.S.
