FAIN: RO-11953-73

University of Wisconsin, Madison (Madison, WI 53715-1218)
Norman Risjord (Project Director: July 1973 to present)

The project, which is connected with the Bicentennial, is a study of the society and politics of one important, geographically integrated region of the nation in the period after the American Revolution. It traces the emergence of sophisticated political organization and seeks to relate them to the social, economic, and religioius differences within the region.
