...The Twelfth Congress of the International Musicological Society To gather 1200 to 1500 musicologists from throughout the world for an international congress in August 1977 in Berkely, California on teh them "Interdisciplinary Horizons in the Study of Musical Traditions, East and West" as the Twelfth congress of the International Musicological Society. To encourage and illuminate the application of methods and knowledge from other disciplines of the humanities to key areas of musicology. The present application covers Phase 1, preliminary planning by a committee of the American Musicological Society and the Program committee of the IMS.
