To construct a new model of social science through a philosophical investigation into the foundations and methodology of this science. The project will seek to show that the two dominant accounts which are currently given—the naturalist model and the humanist model—are inadequate and it is only by a synthesis of these two approaches that we will have an accurate understanding of what it means to explain human behavior .
