To edit, transcribe, translate and process the manuscripts of Jonathan Fisher (1768-184-7). Fisher, a minister, artist, and linguist, lived in Maine from 1796-1847 and designed a system of phonetic writing in 1792 which he called his "philosophical alphabet". Project will be important to linguistic studies of the Revolutionary period.
