To investigate the Ise shrine system and the Ise cult by the study of the principle rituals of the annual liturgy and of the architecture and sitting of the 114 shrines. Library research and translations of the KOTA-JINGU-GISHIKI-CHO of 804 A.D., and compilation and analysis of comparative examples of rituals of renewal are included in the project.
