To study the intervention by Allied and American forces in the Soviet Union during the period of the Russian Revolution and ensuing Civil War. The intervention was the first case in the post-World War I era when conflicting ideological interests resulted in an armed struggle in a foreign country. The study will result in a book and several articles.
