French Veterans of the American Revolution in the French Revolution

To investigate the experiences of the French army that served in the American Revolution from 1780 to 1782 and study the reactions of these men to the revolution in France a few years later. The response will he analyzed in light of their contacts with American civilians and soldiers and their exposure to American attitudes and institutions.
