To document through interviews and the collection of papers, the backgrounds and activities of nationally significant women political leaders (1920-70). In documenting these personal account of achievement during a period when few American women entered active political life or rose to positions of leadership, to obtain perspectives on the social, economic, and political events of that period and the many important political figures known by these women.
