To support a program of scholarly exchange in humanistic studies by the Committee on Scholarly Communication with the People's Republic of China. The committee serves as a facilitating organization to arrange exchange opportunities for scholars in the humanities pursuing Chinese Studies. In 1977 two delegations of scholars in Chinese art and applied linguistics are expected to visit China.
