A study of the architecture of Solomon S. Beman 1853-1914. Study will assess the role that Beman's work played in the industrial design, city planning, commercial building and mass housing architecture of the 19th and 20th centuries. Emphasis will be given to Beman's model communities of Pullman, Ill. and Ivorydale, Ohio.
