To allow American participation in the next Report to the Club of Rome on learning and education. The Report is an attempt to turn world attention to the importance of the humanities in solving global issues widely perceived as the exclusive domain of science and technology. The Club's first Report, The Limits to Growth, was criticized for ignoring the "human element," The 1979 Report will reach a worldwide audience. It will be published in paperback by Pergamon Press and will be presented at a symposium of 400 statesmen, scholars and the press.
