Rutgers University (New Brunswick, NJ 08901-8559)
Paul B. Israel (Project Director: November 2004 to April 2008)

Completion of Volume 6 and continued editorial work on Volume 7 of the Papers of Thomas Edison. (36 months)

The Thomas A. Edison Papers is a major documentary editing project that is collecting, selecting, editing, and publishing the correspondence, laboratory notes, and other technical and business records of America's most creative and prolific inventor. This proposal seeks funding to support two editors and a graduate assistant to work on Volumes 6 and 7 of the book edition of the Papers of Thomas A. Edison. The work of these two editors and a graduate assistant is vital to the timely publication of the book edition.
