The Kentucky Bicentennial Publications Program is a research, writing, and publication project sponsored by the Kentucky Historical Events Celebration Commission that is designed to provide, through publication by the University Press of Kentucky, a significant and enduring memorial in the form of a library of 50 small books and half a dozen major works of scholarly authenticity and belle-tristic style which will range over the whole spectrum of Kentucky's two centuries of history.
