To implement new methods in lexicography using computers and microfilm technology. To demonstrate the feasibility of these techniques in studies deriving from the culture of the English Renaissance (1475-1700). This resource will form the basis of projects in a wide variety of humanistic disciplines and will stimulate and enrich existing research.
