To provide bibliographic data and register the whereabouts of obscure material of the modern research literature in Chinese, Japanese, English, French, and German on traditional Chinese fiction. The entries in the bibliography will be fully annotated and cross-reference. The organization of the work itself is designed to reveal the particularity of both the fictional works concerned and the research publication on them.
