To compose an inventory of all commentaries on the works of Aristotle written in Latin in the period 1500-1650. The inventory will be a basic research tool and will aid in opening a new era in our understanding of the intellectual movements that marked the birth of the modern world. The inventory will provide biographical and bibliographical information concerning the authors of the commentaries, brief descriptions of their works, and lists, as complete as possible, of the manuscripts and printed editions.
