To plan and organize the Fourth International Congress on the Enlightenment, scheduled to take place in July 1975 on the campus of Yale University, for a period of eight days. To provide the only international forums for a truly interdisciplinary study of the history, art, literature and thought of the 18th century. As is the case of the previous three Congresses, the papers of the Fourth Congress are to be published in the Studies on Voltaire and the Enlightenment.
