To institute a symposium on the American Revlutionary War in Retropect consisting of a lecture series and a conference. The symposium would present the results of scholarly research on strategy, tactics, organization and the roles of the Army, militia and partisans, and would also deal with social and political questions involving the military with the overriding theme being "Forces and Freedom."
