To bring together distinguished scholars from 4 disciplines — Literary Criticism, Classics, Folklore, and Judaic Studies -- so that they, in dialogue with specialists in early Christian Literature and History, may themselves explore the question of the relationships among the gospels. It is expected that the ways in which these scholars have dealt with analogous questions in their own fields of study will be relevant to New Testament scholarship.
