The continuing preparation of an edition of the correspondence of the American philosopher and man of letters William James (1842-1910).

The purpose of this project is to publish complete and authoritative texts of the correspondence of William James, one of the most read and influential thinkers of the past one hundred years. This critical, annotated Edition of The Correspondence of William James, in twelve volumes, includes both sides of the correspondence. We are requesting funds to publish Volume 8, to complete the editing of and to publish Volume 9, and to continue the work of editing Volumes 10 and 11.
