General operating support for state or territorial humanities council

The North Carolina Committee intends to continue its first year theme for a second year, increasing the size and number of its projects. Funds will continue to be given to humanist scholars to examine the history, changing value patterns and power relationships of North Carolinians in the light of the rapid urbanization of the state and to explore possible future directions for communtities affected by the changes urbanization has brought. Focus will be on public policy.
