The Delaware committee's first year program hopes to promote dialogue among humanists and the public on the history, philosophy, and value considerations which have led to the development of government as it exists today. Such humanistic insights will provide important perspective to discussion on such issues as the proper role of government and the rights and responsibilities of citizens when tied to specific public policy issues such an education, taxation and law enforcement.
