General operating support for state or territorial humanities council

To support public programs, through regrants to institutions and organizations, which relate the humanities and humanists to issues of broad public interest in Louisiana. During its third year, the committee will attempt to bring into the program other areas of the state and groups of people (like the Cajuns). The committee will also conduct a seminar in which scholars will discuss the application of their disciplines to discussion of public policy.
