General operating support for state or territorial humanities council
To support public programs, through regrants to institutions and organizations, which relate the humanities and humanists to issues of broad public interest in Oklahoma. During its fourth year the Oklahoma committee will explore "what citizen values are involved and therefore should be explored in determining public decisions" and "how are the values of the citizenry reflected by public agencies in dealing with specific public policy issues." It will also supplement the usual program efforts (brochures, a newsletter, a conference for humanists, an evaluation seminar) with the compilation of a resource directory of humanists and will make grants to consultant humanists enabling them to work with community groups in hard-to-reach areas.
