General operating support for state or territorial humanities council

To support public programs, through regrants to institutions and organizations, which relate the humanities and humanists to issues of broad public interest in Louisiana. For its fourth operational year, the Committee has chosen to develop a new public policy dealing with groups - women, consumers, the poor - whose rights in society are undergoing re-examination.
