General operating support for state or territorial humanities council

With the General Operating Support Grant, Maine Humanities Council brings the humanities to life through subawards and/or public programming in Maine. The council tailors its subaward-making and public programs to the needs, resources, and interests of Maine. In doing so, it delivers on its mission to use the humanities as a tool for positive change in Maine communities. Our programs and grants encourage critical thinking and conversations across social, economic, and cultural boundaries.
