Development of a one-hour television documentary on the life and impact of former first lady Rosalynn Carter as part of MacNeil/Lehrer Productions' "Modern First Ladies" series.

"Rosalynn Carter: Political Partner" is a one-hour television documentary exploring the life and impact of former first lady Rosalynn Carter. "Rosalynn Carter: Political Partner" will be the fourth program in "The Modern First Ladies" series of documentaries produced by MacNeil/Lehrer Productions and broadcast nationally on PBS. Built primarily around an in-depth interview with the former first lady, as well as archival material from the Jimmy Carter Presidential Library and Museum, private photo collections, home movies, news clips, and other image sources, "Rosalynn Carter: Political Partner" will create a complex portrait of this transformational first lady within the context of a post-Watergate White House and a resurgent women's movement.
