Planning of a 90-minute television documentary that explores the life and music of American music legend, Johnny Cash.

JOHNNY CASH will be a 90-minute film biography of one of America's most charismatic and influential musical icons. It will weave together a wide selection of Cash's songs, film clips of his performances, home movies, and interviews with family, friends and fellow musicians to tell the story of Cash’s dramatic life. At the same time, it will help a wide multi-generational audience appreciate how Southern culture influenced and shaped the country music industry as it rose to become a multi-million dollar business, and it will highlight the challenges faced by artists as they juggle the conflicting demands of authenticity and commercial success. JOHNNY CASH is intended for national broadcast on PBS where it is expected to reach some 10 million viewers, and for extensive distribution in home video, educational and foreign markets.
