Production of a 14-hour documentary film series that would examine the history of the Roosevelt family, focusing on Theodore, Franklin, and Eleanor Roosevelt.

This 14-hour, 7-part film series will present the lives of Theodore, Franklin and Eleanor Roosevelt and their influence as the most prominent members of one of the most important families in our nation?s history. The Roosevelts will illuminate over 100 years of the American experience, refracted through numerous prisms?of politics and reform; isolation and global responsibility; government intervention; ethics; jurisprudence; social and economic history. The series will be broadcast nationally in prime time on PBS in 2014, and will be accompanied by extensive educational outreach activities and a major promotional campaign to drive tune-in. In addition, a web site will be created for the film to be housed at pbs.org.
