Production of a series of seven short films examining photographs that have shaped American history and culture.

The Bigger Picture is a seven-part, short-form digital series, hosted by historian Vincent Brown, that examines iconic photographs that have shaped our national identity. Each ten-minute documentary will tell the full story of an image that has itself become part of American history. Professor Brown will explore the photo’s creation, its impact on the public understanding of our nation, and its significance in the narrative of the United States. The series is produced by WNET and will be nationally distributed on PBS Digital Studios.
