Restoring a full-time staff position for the completion of the social studies project “Moose on the Loose,” an open-access website aimed at teaching American history and modern-day civics and government.

The New Hampshire Historical Society seeks funds to complete the final phase of a social studies project that has been delayed by the pandemic and restore a lost staff position. “Moose on the Loose” is an online resource designed for upper elementary students to instruct them in history, civics, geography, and economics. The project aligns closely with the NEH’s “A More Perfect Union” initiative, introducing kids to foundational ideas of American democracy and the unifying concepts that shape the American character, while celebrating the differences that weave throughout our complex society.
