Extending onsite residencies for American Academy in Rome fellowship recipients whose work was disrupted by the pandemic, and infrastructure improvements for online programming from Rome. 

In response to the disruption of the academic year the Academy developed a plan to offer all displaced fellows the opportunity to return to the academy for periods ranging from 6- 12 weeks in order to complete their work. The AAR has also committed to maintain and strengthen the engagement with new audiences of students, faculty and the general public that has been cultivated during the last 18 months of programming.
