In 2008/9, MFH will continue its "Liberty and Justice for All" initiative. We will 1) offer up to $10K (twice the limit of regular grants) for public humanities projects on the LJA theme 2) focus our annual symposium on the role of religion in our democracy 3) offer a film discussion series commemorating the 200th anniversary of the Federal abolition of the foreign slave trade and 4) design a thematic rotating schedule for public libraries to display and discuss the "Picturing America" images. |
