Since its change from a two-year to a four-year college in 1996, MSC has considerably expanded the breadth and depth of its humanities curriculum. The Macon State College (MSC) Foundation, Inc., is seeking a $50,000 NEH Challenge Grant, to be matched with $150,000 raised locally, to enhance the supporting humanities collection of the MSC Library. The project will provide a source of funding for immediate and future acquisitions of both print and online resources. The project will allow (1) $40,000 for the outright purchase of the archives of an online literary database and (2) $160,000 for a Humanities Endowment to fund the ongoing costs of online access and print acquisitions as the humanities curriculum continues to expand. |
