Seven visiting scholars, all of whom are in the forefront of the newest research in Italian archaeology, art history, ethnography, history and literary study, will conduct seminars and extensive on-site field study. We are eager to extend the Italian experience and the opportunity to make available new scholarship on the culture, history, art and archaeology of early Italy to interested participants. CCHA’s Institute experience includes successful on-site NEH Institutes, three on “Maya Worlds," and one on “Alaska and Native Cultures of the Pacific Northwest."
