Logan Library seeks materials and staff training to help us continue implementation of the first segment of a three-stage strategic plan for the long-term care of our collection. Our planning process began in 2002 with the help of an NEH Preservation Assistance Grant. While our efforts will attend the needs of our entire collection, we hope to also target specifically our Texas Hill Country Special Collection. We wish to follow the suggestions of consultant Jean Baldwin: purchase the required equipment, establish baseline procedures and policies for collection preservation, and implement a strategic plan for site improvement and staff training. |
