The grant will support a preservation assessment survey of the Reeves Library Special Collections, which includes the Rare Books collection, the Moravian College Archives and the Groenfeldt Moravian Collection. The survey will facilitate the development of a long-range preservation plan, which will: (1) include an effective action strategy for dealing with preservation issues; (2) maintain consistency and continuity in the library's preservation program over the long term; and (3) assist in securing the necessary resources to implement the recommendations of the survey. |
