The Michigan Humanities Council will preserve and expand its current We the People grant program: 1) by focusing the Request for Proposal (RFP) on exploring and examining events and themes in American history and culture that were grounded in Michigan, so that communities will gain a deeper understanding of the principles that define them as people, a state and a nation; 2) by combining the Council's major grant program with its We the People funding, so that more WTP programs will be presented in communities throughout the state. |
