The Center for History Teaching and Learning at UW-Eau Claire is applying for a consultation grant to support: Making a House an American Home: Interpreting Immigration to the Chippewa Valley through the Schlegelmilch, Anderson and Ager Houses. These houses are currently interpreted by the Chippewa Valley Museum and Waldemar Ager Association. During a two-day interpretive workshop our project team will consult with scholars of immigration history and interpretive specialists. We will develop a new thematic interpretation so visitors will experience the interconnections between the three houses and understand their place within the broader narrative of immigration to America’s heartland. |
