The New Jersey Historical Society (NJHS) will contract with paper conservator Caroline Rieger to conduct a general preservation assessment of a portion of our collection of approximately 1,150 works of art on paper. The project will include an item-by-item survey of the collection and a long-range plan for its care, including prioritized recommendations for preservation measures. The request of $5,000 will cover the total cost of the project, including the purchase of basic preservation supplies recommended by Ms. Rieger in her letter of commitment. This project is part of NJHS’s organizational commitment to preserve and promote New Jersey’s artistic and cultural heritage. |
