Historic Hope Foundation, Inc., (HHF) is requesting a Preservation Assistance Grant of $4,939 to establish an environmental monitoring program for the historic buildings housing the museum’s collections. Through this project HHF will (1) purchase dataloggers for collections areas, a data transporter, data management software, and a lux meter; (2) install the loggers and establish a monitoring program and environmental control targets in consultation with preventive conservator Catherine Anderson of Colonial Williamsburg Foundation; (3) analyze 9 months of data; (4) prioritize environmental needs for the collections areas and plan for more comprehensive treatments based on Ms. Anderson’s recommendations. |
