The W. Frank Steely Library at Northern Kentucky University proposes to develop a long-range plan for the care of its special collections in the Department of Special Collections and Archives. With funding from the Preservation Assistance Grant we will utilize the expertise of a consultant to conduct a preservation needs assessment. The consultant will assess the general condition of the collections, and its organization, housing, security, and storage environment and submit a final report summarizing prioritized recommendations for our collections' long-term care and needs. The consultant will also recommend supplies to be purchased that will support the preservation of the collections. |
