For this project, the Library will hire a professional conservation consultant who specializes in works of art on paper to conduct a general preservation assessment of the prints and drawings collections. The Conservator will then work with the Curator to develop a comprehensive plan for conservation treatments as necessary. The resulting improvements in the preservation of these humanities collections will insure that they continue to be available as an important resource in the United States for the study of eighteenth-century Anglo-American culture and aesthetics. |
