The Library Company is requesting a $4,570 grant to fund the upgrade of environmental monitoring equipment in our collections storage areas. Purchasing new dataloggers, a wireless receiver, and a light meter will allow us to monitor temperature, humidity, and light levels in the stacks and to make needed adjustments quickly. Ensuring a stable environment for our collections is an essential part of our institutional mission: to preserve our historically-significant collections for future generations. |
