The Museum Security Upgrade Project involves technological upgrades, physical maintenance, procedural reassessments, ongoing staff training and the hiring of dedicated security staff. We are requesting NEH support for Phase I which will address the Society?s most critical security needs with the installation of some crucial alarm components, the institution of new security protocols & procedures as well as ongoing staff training. The ensuing phases, which will be implemented over several years, will complete our system redesign and result in the Society having a new security system, both technologically and procedurally, which will continually provide effective protection into the next decade. |
