To conduct a study of mass voting behavior during the U.S.'s fourth- electoral era, 1893-1933. Electoral and demographic data will be used to measure the general contours of the turnout decline that the period saw. Substantive findings will be used by political and social historians, policy makers and political scientists and sociologists. Subcounty voting and social data will also be of use to demographers, geographers and economic historians. |
